Accomplished Seattle Storm player takes her best shot at Free ThrowDown

This past weekend we had the opportunity to join our fellow Seattle Storm fans at an event held exclusively for season ticket holders for Storm fans at KeyArena. Among many of the familiar faces who stopped by, we had a very special guest join us to try her hand at our Free ThrowDown tournament – the Storm’s very own forward, Tina Thompson!

Tina faced offed against her son, Dyllan, and of course, the WNBA All Star Couldn't be stopped!

Tina has a long history in the WNBA, as she was the first pick of the WNBA’s annual draft in 1997. For 16 seasons, the 6’2” forward has been making waves with her talent: she has two Olympic gold medals, is league record holder for points scored (6,751), has been an All Star eight times, and is the only player to have played all 16 seasons since that first-ever draft!

That’s a staggering amount of accomplishments! Tina announced her intent to retire after the 2013 season, and it seems she will be leaving behind quite the legacy. Our WALLY Team was excited to meet her, and wish the historic forward the best for the remainder of Storm’s season.

The Storm has two more regular season home games remaining, so get your tickets to see Tina Thompson’s play at KeyArena in her final WBNA season!
